Safaa Deen

Safaa is a passionate student-at-law with a diverse academic background. She earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) from McGill University. Prior to her legal education, Safaa graduated with High Distinction from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts where she majored in Political Science and minored in Psychology and French as a Second Language. Safaa was a Dean’s List Scholar throughout her undergraduate degree.

While a student at McGill, Safaa developed a keen interest in the intersection of law and technology. During her participation in McGill’s Transformative Business Law Summer Academy, she partnered with international scholars to publish a policy paper on the impact of social media and artificial intelligence on the democratic process. Additionally, Safaa served as the President of the McGill Art Law Association where she sought to highlight the impact of disruptive technologies on the art market.

In her free time Safaa enjoys hiking, playing video games, and listening to technology news podcasts.
