Reuben Pickering completed his Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the University of Ottawa, where he graduated cum laude. While completing his law degree, Reuben for the Federal Senate, the Government of Saskatchewan’s Constitutional Law branch, and a criminal defence firm.

During his Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) of Political Science at Brock University, Reuben completed an honours thesis in privacy law and interned at the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA). He has developed a deep interest in data privacy, democratic freedoms, and constitutional interpretation.

Reuben is an army veteran and a competitive powerlifter. In his spare time, Reuben fosters rescue dogs, studies etymology, and cooks various culinary delights.
